Thai Gourmet
June 21st, 2010 by Amy Thacker
Thai Gourmet has become my favorite lunch spot in Independence. When you walk in you will be completely surprised by how classy it feels, and how efficiently the tiny dining room seats many lunch hour diners. Thai Gourmet is not strictly Thai; it also serves curries and Cantonese dishes. The kitchen prepares the dishes to order, which allow me to make a couple of important special requests without any hesitation from the server. The pad thai is delicious, mild, and a bit sweet. At other restaurants, I have found the pad thai too heavy on the fish sauce, but this one is not. I have ordered the moo goo gai pan and the veggies and chicken were cooked perfectly (broccoli looked like broccoli, not limp noodles of green mush).

You’ve sold me on their pad thai. I will be eating pad thai from Thai Gourmet in the near future! Check out Johnny Mango’s in Ohio City for some excellent pad thai as well.
My dad also likes Thai Gourmet’s Thai Spaghetti.
And, yes, we will have to get together when you return.
